Together Let’s Give: Hawaiian’s Giving Box Returns to Support Foodbank WA
12 Nov 2025
Food insecurity continues to affect thousands of Western Australians, with 350,000 households having run out of food at some point in the past year.
In response, Hawaiian is once again supporting its partners at Foodbank WA and inviting the community to take part in the annual Hawaiian Giving Box campaign – an initiative that helps support those doing it tough by collecting long-life food and monetary donations.
Thanks to the generosity of the community, last year’s Hawaiian Giving Box campaign resulted in 5,800 kilograms of food donated and enough funds raised to help Foodbank WA create over 100,000 meals for families in need.
Leah Royle, General Manager of Community at Hawaiian, said Hawaiian hoped to build on the momentum of previous years and reach even more people in need.
Ms Royle said, “Hawaiian’s Giving Box appeal is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together. Every donation – from a simple pantry staple to a small monetary gift – helps Foodbank WA support Western Australians doing it tough. We understand that not everyone can give. For those who can, we are simply asking them to consider sharing what they can.”
“Alongside our Giving Box Appeal, we’re also proud to continue our Gift a Giving Box initiative. Through this campaign, Hawaiian will gift 150 hampers to those who are doing it tough and could use a little extra cheer. We would love the help of our community to nominate those who could use a thoughtful surprise to brighten their holidays,” said Ms Royle.
Hawaiian’s Giving Boxes will be available from Wednesday, 12 November to Tuesday 30 December 2025 at the following Hawaiian centres:
- Claremont Quarter
- Hawaiian’s Melville
- Hawaiian’s Bassendean
- Hawaiian’s Forrestfield
- Hawaiian’s Mezz
