Hawaiian’s Schools Program Inspires Local Kids in 2026

26 Jun 2026

Hawaiian is once again supporting local schools – bringing hands-on arts, health and wellbeing experiences to kids across Perth.

For more than 30 years, Hawaiian has supported Western Australians to thrive, with young people – as the future of our communities – sitting right at the centre. Now running in its fifth consecutive year, Hawaiian’s schools program brings free, curriculum-aligned experiences directly into local primary schools – reaching around 1 in 4 primary schools in Perth.

Available to public primary schools within 10kms of a Hawaiian shopping centre, the program is design to support kids, families and school communities right on our doorstep. Through arts, health and wellbeing experiences, it helps build confidence, sparks creativity and creates moments of connection.

Working alongside trusted WA partners and not-for-profits such as West Coast Eagles and Guide Dogs WA, the program delivers experiences straight into the classrooms. By removing cost and access barriers, it makes it easier for teachers to bring these opportunities to life – especially at a time when school budgets are tight and many families are feeling the pressure of rising living costs.

"We love being part of this – it helps us provide different experiences for our kids"

"This provides experiences our students are unlikely to access outside of school."

About Hawaiian’s Schools Program

Since 2022, around 20,000 kids have taken part, and participation has grown to over 90 per cent of eligible schools.

This year, the program reached over 100 schools across Perth, building meaningful connections and opening the door for local young people to take part in experiences they may not otherwise have access to.

The program was recognised at the 2025 Property Council of WA Property Awards, receiving the Best Community Engagement award and recognition as the most extensive school incursion programs delivered by a property company in Western Australia.

This impact is the result of many contributors. Schools, partners and community organisations have all played an important role in the program over time, and we are incredibly grateful for their ongoing collaboration and commitment.

Our program parterns include:

It’s wonderful and inspiring to see children learning, cooking delicious healthy recipes, eating together, and most importantly, learning with a smile. These experiences are more than just enjoyable - they start conversations about healthy food options, something many don’t often experience at home. We are incredibly thankful to be able to deliver this work through our partnership with Hawaiian. Together, we’re helping children develop essential life skills and giving them the knowledge to creating brighter, healthier futures.
