For twelve years, Hawaiian has proudly stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Telethon and alongside the people of Western Australia.

Since becoming a Million Dollar Partner in 2022, our commitment has continued to grow beyond financial support, driven by a shared purpose to help vulnerable children across our state thrive.

In 2025, we reached new heights.

We reimagined how we could contribute to the cause with even more meaning. So, we rallied our team, our retail partners, and our communities in fun, interactive, and impactful ways to maximise awareness and raise funds for Telethon.

And then we came up with a big idea, taking our support for Telethon to stellar new heights.

A Space Adventure with Heart

This year, we boldly went where no community fundraiser had gone before.

We launched Hawaiian’s Space Escape Bus, proudly supporting Telethon, an Australian-first experience that combined school holiday fun with grassroots fundraising, all in support of Telethon’s life-changing work.

For two weeks over the spring school holidays, Hawaiian’s Space Escape Bus brought an out-of-this-world adventure to life, visiting eight of our shopping centres across Perth.

Inside the specially designed bus, two immersive rooms set the stage for a cosmic escape room mission. Young explorers became members of a space crew on a quest to find a planet capable of supporting human life before a major space event threatened their ship.

Every participant donated $5 to join the mission, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Telethon, supporting children and families across WA.

The best part of this campaign was the ripple effect it created.

A record-breaking 97 retail partners rallied behind the cause in a powerful show of support, amplifying the impact for Telethon and reminding us of what’s possible when community and purpose align.

From space-themed giveaways and sausage sizzles, to their own creative twists, they helped bring the cosmic theme to life and raise funds for Telethon with help from the people in our neighbourhoods.

Combined with the proceeds from Hawaiian’s Space Escape Bus and with thanks to the support of our communities, these grassroots efforts raised an amazing $12,791.

We proudly gifted Hawaiian’s Space Escape Bus to Telethon for the 2025 Telethon Family Festival presented by Coles, extending this immersive, Australian-first experience to even more families. Across the spring school holidays and the Carnival weekend, over 2,500 Western Australians joined the mission, donating, exploring, and embracing the adventure.

Hawaiian’s Space Escape Bus was just one way we brought Telethon’s mission to life – but the heart of our journey was with the Little Telethon Stars and all they represent.

Walking Beside the Little Telethon Stars

This year, we didn’t just support Telethon – we helped shape moments that really mattered.

From the very first reveal to the final farewell, we were proud to walk the journey with Izzy, Paige, Jordan and Xavier and the Telethon team.

Together with Telethon, we created a magical launch moment at Kings Park, unveiling Hawaiian’s Space Escape Bus, in their honour. Their faces lit up as they saw photos of themselves on the side of our bus, moments before Fat Cat stepped out to present them with their stars, officially anointing them as the official Little Telethon Stars for 2025.

It was more than a surprise. It was a celebration of their courage, joy and hope and their representation of so many children supported through Telethon. And we were privileged to be such a special part of it.

Hawaiian’s Gift Boxes
As a company with shopping centres across Perth and strong relationships with our retail partners, Hawaiian was in a unique position to bring them in on something special.

Each year, we have the privilege of gifting the Little Telethon Stars with Hawaiian gift boxes, overflowing with surprises, and hand-picked treasures. To honour their individuality, a beloved member of the Hawaiian family for over 20 years curated four bespoke gift boxes. Each one was thoughtfully crafted in collaboration with our retailers, filled with items chosen to reflect the unique passions and personalities of each Little Telethon Star.

It’s our small way of celebrating them and everything they represent.

As the curtains closed on Telethon 2025, we brought the journey full circle with a special lunch at our office building at Parmelia House in Perth, where we celebrated the Stars’ courage, positivity, and hope and reflected on the impact these incredible kids had on our community.

Telethon is in our Philosophy

Telethon is a cause that unites our entire business.

From our shopping centres and hotels to Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa and Parmelia Hilton Perth, our people came together in meaningful ways to support this iconic Western Australian cause.

Auction prizes donated by Claremont Quarter, Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa and the Parmelia Hilton Hotel helped raise vital funds at the Telethon Ball, while team members proudly volunteered their time at the Telethon Call Centre, taking donations from generous Western Australians.

In a moment of special recognition, our team at Claremont Quarter, alongside our retail partners, surprised the mums of the Little Telethon Stars with a day of pampering – a touching tribute to honour them and their strength, love, and unwavering dedication. Watch the Reel here.

Together, we contributed to Telethon’s extraordinary fundraising total, including our $1 million donation.

At Hawaiian, giving back isn’t something we do on the side, it’s embedded into who we are.

Telethon holds a special place in our hearts. Each year, it brings our community together in the spirit of generosity, joy, and hope – and we are beyond proud to play our part.
