Celebrating the Power of Giving

In 2025, Foodbank WA faced unprecedented demand for food assistance, with more families than ever struggling amid ongoing cost-of-living pressures. Across Western Australia, 231,000 households experienced severe food insecurity, representing an 18% increase from last year. The need for support has never been greater.

Against this backdrop, Hawaiian is proud to announce the outstanding results of its 2025 Hawaiian Giving Box campaign. Thanks to the generosity of communities across Hawaiian’s shopping centres, the campaign raised $47,794 for Foodbank WA, helping to provide 101,716 meals for Western Australians in need.

In addition to monetary donations, an impressive 4,581 kilograms of non-perishable food items were collected for Foodbank WA, helping to meet the growing demand for essential supplies.

Through the Giving Box campaign for Foodbank WA, including the popular gift-wrapping station and combined with Hawaiian’s team Gift a Giving Box initiative, WA families in need were supported.

As part of its commitment to making a real difference, Hawaiian deepened its reach into local communities through its team Gift a Giving Box initiative, which saw Hawaiian team members hand-pack and deliver 125 gift hampers to families connected to its shopping centres.

With Foodbank WA assisting over 1,000 every day, these contributions play a vital role in meeting this growing need.

Leah Royle, General Manager of Community at Hawaiian, expressed pride in the campaign’s impact.

“The impact this campaign delivers is heartening. Every dollar and every food item donated translates into hope for West Australians. Together, we are creating stronger, more resilient communities,” Ms Royle said.

“A huge thank you to everyone involved. From volunteers at our Claremont Quarter gift-wrapping station to those who donated food or tapped to give; Every contribution is creating a positive impact on the lives of others. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity.”

“Hawaiian looks forward to continuing this tradition of generosity and working alongside its communities to create meaningful impact for West Australians in need,” Ms Royle added.

Every Hawaiian neighbourhood shopping centre, big or small, is proud to be part of the local community.
