Hawaiian’s Space Escape Bus, proudly supporting Telethon is set to land on Thursday 25 September – Sunday, 12 October, disembarking at eight Hawaiian neighbourhood centres including:

Inside the specially designed bus, two immersive rooms set the stage for a stationary, cosmic-themed adventure. Participants join the space crew on a mission to find a new planet capable of supporting human life, before a major space event reaches their ship. Along the way, kids will crack codes and solve puzzles, tackling six hands-on challenges inspired by renewable energy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the bus move during the session?
Nope! The Space Escape Bus stays parked. The experience takes place inside two immersive rooms within the stationary vehicle.
Does the bus have wheelchair access?
Yes, the bus is equipped with wheelchair access, including a ramp for boarding. When booking your tickets, please be sure to select ‘Yes’ if you require wheelchair access.
I didn't get tickets, will there be alternative activities during the school holidays?
Yes there will be! Check the individual centre pages to find out ‘What’s on’ in the centre during the school holidays. Or visit our social media @hawaiian_au to find out more!
What is the recommended age group for the bus?
The Escape Bus is recommended for children aged 6 to 12 years old. Parents/guardians are required to purchase a ticket to accompany children under 6.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled session. We kick off right on time and unfortunately can’t wait for late arrivals – the spaceship waits for no one!
How long do sessions run for?
Each session lasts 20 minutes, however please allow 35 minutes for your little astronauts to check-in, hear the safety briefing, and board and disembarking the Space Escape Bus.
What if I’m late?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to admit late arrivals as it disrupts the experience for others and affects the schedule. If you’re running behind, please speak to one of our friendly team members – we’ll do our best to help, but please note availability is limited.
Who’s on board during the session?
Our event management team will be on board to guide and support participants throughout the experience.
Can I transfer my tickets?
Tickets are non-transferable due to waiver requirements. If you need to transfer your booking, please contact us in advance so we can arrange a new waiver for the participant. Please contact: marketing@hawaiian.com.au
How do I show my booking?
You’ll receive a confirmation email with all your booking details including date, time, and location. Just show this to our friendly team upon arrival!
Is the bus accessible for people with mobility needs?
Yes! The bus is equipped with a ramp and handrail for safe boarding and exiting. If you have mobility requirements, please let us know during the booking process so we can assist.
How many participants are in each group?
Each session can host up to 8 participants, depending on group needs.
Do I need to book in a group of six?
Not at all! You’re welcome to book individually or in smaller groups. We’ll take care of the rest.
Do parents or guardians need to supervise children on board?
Yes. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children. Children under 6 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+) with a valid ticket and waiver for the same session.
How else can I support Telethon at my local Hawaiian Shopping Centre?
By joining Hawaiian’s Space Escape Bus, you’re already donating $5 to Telethon!
You can also make an additional contribution via Tap & Go donation machines at participating centres.

There’s plenty of space-themed fun! Look out for:

What if I need to cancel or change my booking?
You can cancel up to 48 hours before your session for a refund. Unfortunately, cancellations after that time cannot be refunded.
What happens if my session is cancelled?
If we need to cancel your session, we’ll notify you immediately and help you reschedule or arrange a refund.
