Hawaiian becomes AFLW official Coaches’ Partner

25 Aug 2022

In a sign of our commitment to women in sport, Hawaiian has expanded our partnership with the West Coast Eagles by becoming the official Coaches’ Partner to the Club’s AFLW program.

Hawaiian’s General Manager, Marketing, Sandra Holloway, said Hawaiian’s sponsorship partnership with the West Coast Eagles AFLW is particularly exciting as it is part of a changing tide for women in sport – recognising, celebrating and rewarding their efforts.

“Anyone with young girls knows the grassroots growth of AFLW, and Hawaiian’s sponsorship of the West Coast Eagles AFLW pays tribute to that; ensuring girls have strong female role models through their tween and teen years,” Ms Holloway said.

“AFLW encourage participation in sport for girls at a time where their self-esteem and self-worth is at its most vulnerable and helps them become the women they can be.”

Hawaiian will provide opportunities for the community to access the club’s AFLW stars through our vast Perth metropolitan shopping centre network, as well as matchday experiences and activations, aimed to bring fans closer to their favourite players.

Hawaiian has had a long-term partnership with the West Coast Eagles and the expansion of that commitment to the female program represents our shared values of inclusion and diversity.

West Coast Eagles General Manager Commercial Operations, Tony Haselhurst, says the expanded commitment of Hawaiian demonstrates the strength of the partnership.

“The West Coast Eagles and Hawaiian have had a tremendous partnership for many years, and it is terrific to see that alignment extend into our women’s program. Our two organisations have shared values of connecting and enriching the lives of those in the community and Hawaiian’s support is a tremendous boost to our program and will provide great opportunities in connecting the community and fans to our team.”

Every Hawaiian neighbourhood shopping centre, big or small, is proud to be part of the local community.
