For anyone who has shopped at La Delizia Latticini at Hawaiian’s Park Centre, it will come as no surprise that the artisans of fresh, handmade Italian-style cheese have been named as one of Perth's best gourmet delicatessens.
The honour - bestowed by The West Australian newspaper - describes La Delizia as a "must-visit destination".
"If there is one type of food that quickens the heart and makes the mouth water, it is cheese," The West Australian says.
"If you think life is better with cheese, and the more the better, then Perth's first cheese lab is a must-visit destination."
The artisan cheeses, including fresh Mozzarella, along with a list of delectable antipasti are handmade in store daily by an Italian award-winning cheese maker Antonio Caroli (aka, ZIO BELLO!) who recently relocated from Puglia, South of Italy, to Perth.
At La Delizia Latticini, all of the cheese is hand-crafted in the store’s specially designed cheese lab, daily, using traditional Italian methods and only WA local produce. The store design provides a unique glimpse into the cheese lab via large viewing windows, providing customers the opportunity to watch the cheese-making process and interact with the cheese maker.
