Bicton Primary School students have received a total of $1,500 in funding thanks to two grants from Hawaiian’s Melville.
The school received $1,000 as part of Hawaiian’s Schools Program, which supports local schools to provide enhanced educational experiences.
The grant has been used to upgrade the library with books, resources, seating, and shelving, and enhance the school’s IT lab, student work stations and ECE reading e-centre.
The school also received a Hawaiian Giving Box Christmas Appeal $500 grant, used to purchase headphones to provide improved learning opportunities for students living with a disability.
Hawaiian General Manager Marketing Kristi Ullrich said Hawaiian was proud to be able to support Bicton Primary School through both the School’s Program and the Giving Box Appeal grants.
“We are grateful be able to support local schools such as Bicton Primary School to enhance the educational experience for students,” Kristi said.
“It is fantastic to see such positive outcomes from the programs.”
