A local entrepreneur has been granted a three-month lease at Hawaiian’s Bassendean after pitching her business idea at the recent Bassendean Festival of Local Business.
Cassandra Tomeo’s business Runway Regime will open its doors on Saturday 19 October, after it caught the imagination of great business minds during The Big Idea pitching event.
The Big Idea gave locals the chance to pitch their business idea in front of a panel of business leaders, including Hawaiian’s General Manager of Shopping Centres Scott Greenwood, Epoch Training’s business mentor and coach Kim Veale and AXITO Managing Director Simon Loader.
Runway Regime is a dress rental service for curvy women - a niche market Cassandra discovered when searching for a ball gown.
Hawaiian’s Bassendean is a proud supporter of The Bassendean Festival of Local Business and The Big Idea.
Hawaiian’s General Manager of Shopping Centres Scott Greenwood said Hawaiian’s Bassendean is thrilled to have Runway Regime join the centre.
“We are pleased to be able to support up-and-coming local talent in the Bassendean area and we hope that locals with business ideas will be inspired by Cassandra’s idea,” Mr Greenwood said.
“Runway Regime will be an exciting new fashion retailer for shoppers, and we trust Bassendean locals will show their support for the new business.”
