Cable Beach Club icon Sue Thom nominated for Individual Excellence in Customer Service Award

Congratulations to Sue Thom, Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa's Guest Relations Manager of 31 years who was recently nominated for the 2019 Perth Airport WA Tourism Award for Individual Excellence in Customer Service.

The Award nomination recognises an individual who demonstrates outstanding, high-quality, personable customer service in the course of their employment in the WA tourism industry.

A stalwart in WA’s tourism industry, Sue is a true child of the Kimberley and an icon of Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa.

In her role at Cable Beach Club, Sue sees all guests as VIPs, personally greeting guests upon arrival and taking the time to know their personal stories and reasons for visiting.

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa General Manager Stuart Kentish says Sue goes above and beyond for guests; often curating personal itineraries, suggesting local places of interest to visit, both within the grounds of the Resort and in the wider Broome region.

"Sue is a deserved recipient of any lifetime recognition with 30 years of dedication and a reputation that proceeds her. She is a jewel of the North West tourism industry and without a doubt, the soul of Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa," Stuart says.

From introducing the Artist on the Deck program to support local artists, to her Resort garden tours and promotion of the region through her Broome Chamber of Commerce membership, Sue continues to prioritise guest experience and champions the region's highlights.
