The 2018 Hawaiian Giving Box Appeal for Schools is a thriving program that saw 21 schools get involved and contribute an impressive 7,322 meals and 3,098 gifts to our charity partners Foodbank WA and Anglicare WA, an amazing 40.3% increase from the previous year. A result to be proud of!

Overall the West Australian community have once again shown its generosity by donating a total of 31,148 meals to Foodbank WA and 11,700 gifts to Anglicare WA through the Giving Box Appeal.

This year Hawaiian was proud to be able to award local participating schools with cash prize incentives that in 2019, will help fund a program or project which has been nominated by the school. The winners of these cash prizes are;

Noranda Primary School winning $2,000 for the highest number of kilograms of food collected overall and the highest number of kilograms of food collected per student participating for their Hawaiian community catchment area.

Mt Hawthorn Primary School winning $2,000 for the highest number of gifts collected overall and the highest number of kilograms collected per student participating for their Hawaiian community catchment area.

The following schools have each won $500 for the highest number of kilograms of food collected, per participating student in their Hawaiian community catchment areas - Ashfield Primary School, Heritage College, Bicton Primary School, Dalkeith Primary School and East Victoria Park Primary School.
