Year seven students from Governor Stirling Senior High School spent some time outside of the classroom at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, putting their studies of Cell Research to the test.
As part of the partnership with the Perkins Institute, Hawaiian granted the local high school’s science specialist class the chance to experience a hands-on laboratory session; learning the techniques and procedures that Perkins Institute’s international researchers employ when exploring cells.
"The students found our excursion very interesting and learned about medical research in a fun and engaging way. We are very grateful to Hawaiian for the opportunity to explore the Harry Perkins Institute, an extraordinary research facility in our own backyard." said Governor Stirling Senior High School Science teacher, Louise Warner.
