Aspiring fashion students visit Carillon City’s ‘The Carton’
underline

As part of Hawaiian Alive, Melville Senior High School students visited The Carton fashion designers at Carillon City on Monday 23 August.
The Year 8 and 9 students, who are studying fashion and design, enjoyed a question and answer session with the young designers.
Ellie Meyer, Andrea Wolf and Jane Kelsey have been busy working on their collections from the design space in Carillon City for Perth Fashion Festival's Student Runway parade.
Melville Senior High School teacher Yolanda Cool said the students, who are currently studying the basics of fashion design and history, were thrilled to be chosen for the excursion.
Hawaiian chief executive officer Russell Gibbs said Hawaiian Alive was an opportunity for the property group to “give back”.
“We are aware that schools often have limited resources and this program offers students a range of enriching excursions and activities,” Mr. Gibbs said.
“At Hawaiian, we value the opportunity to give back to the communities we live and work in, and this program is a great way to do that with our young people.”
