Hawaiian's property at 235 St Georges Terrace, has been awarded the 2010 Rider Levett Bucknall Award for Office Developments at the recent Property Council Awards.
The Property Council’s WA Innovation and Excellence Awards recognise various categories of commercial, residential, industrial and retail property achievements.
The Award’s recipient joint developers Hawaiian and Brookfield completed development of Bishops See South Tower in March 2009.
The property has already been awarded as WA’s first commercial tower to achieve a 5 Star Green Star office design rating.
Hawaiian’s General Manager of Development & Commercial, Richard Kilbane, said the award was made possible because of the strength of the partnership over the past seven years between Hawaiian and Brookfield and the calibre of their project team which included architects Fitzpatrick and Partners.
“We are very pleased to accept this award and we also acknowledge our key tenant KPMG without whose pre-commitment, the development may not have happened,” Mr Kilbane added.
In addition to now receiving accolades from the Property Council and its green star rating, the property was also awarded ‘Best Commercial Building over $20 million’ at last year’s Master Builders Awards.
