The light projection is from renowned artist Philip Gamblen, who is highly regarded for his work across art, science and technology, and is especially known for his use of mechanics, electronics and robotics to create kinetic art.

Philip's work is represented in numerous collections including the Art on the Move, Curtin University of Technology, and the Kerry Stokes Collection.

In his Carillon City work, Philip has explored the magnificence and energy of light by casting a vibrant display of colour and light onto the west-facing wall of the Carillon Tower.

Visitors to the City will be able to view this beautiful display of art each day from 7.30pm until the Festival concludes on Monday 1 March 2010.
