Hawaiian has seen the interior of its new headquarters awarded in the State’s most prestigious design awards.

Hawaiian’s interior designers received a Commendation Award at the 2009 Design Institute of Australia (WA) Awards held on Friday 18 September.

An Award of Commendation in the Interior Spaces (Corporate) category was awarded to Interiors Australia for the company’s design of Hawaiian’s new head office interiors at 235 St Georges Terrace.

The interiors of Hawaiian’s offices have been designed to create a contemporary yet timeless statement with the use of modern and warm colour tones. Office spaces have an open feel, encouraging interaction between various work areas but also with specially created private hubs for meetings, and Hawaiian’s Reception, Staff kitchen area and Boardroom have all been designed to promote positive engagement and comfortable interaction.

The annual DIA (WA) Awards recognise Western Australia’s leading design practitioners and aspiring design students across eleven categories and the complete exhibition of 2009 entries can be viewed in the lobby at 235 St Georges Terrace till Friday 2 October.
