Absolutely Beautiful at Noranda Shopping Village has been awarded Champion Beauty Services at the Australian Small Business Champion Awards held in Sydney on Saturday 3rd November, 2007.

The Awards took place at the Star City Casino and the glittering black-tie dinner was attended by over 500 guests, with MC Andrew Daddo and live performances from entertainers Jade MacRae and Kane Alexander.

The Awards aim to acknowledge the many dedicated and hardworking small business owners around the country and to recognise the contributions that small businesses make.

Entrants into the Awards are assessed on their Business Outline, Business Achievements, Business Features, Staff Initiatives and also their involvement within their local community.

Absolutely Beautiful was awarded first prize among five other state finalists within the Beauty Services category.

When asked about her win, owner of Absolutely Beauty Val Sugars said “It’s an unbelievable honour to represent WA in a national competition and an amazing feeling to actually win.”

“We still feel like just an ordinary salon trying to do our best to meet our customers’ needs.”

Absolutely Beautiful has been operating at Noranda Shopping Village for over three years, offering a professional range of specialist skin-care treatments including Microdermabrasion, Light Therapy and IPL, in addition to a full-range of standard beauty treatments.

“The Small Business Champion Awards is a celebration of small business and its contribution to the Australian way of life,” said Steve Loe, Managing Director of Precedent Productions, the company that was responsible for producing and managing the Awards.

A gold trophy was presented to Mrs Sugars on the evening to commemorate her win, which she plans to proudly display in-store at her Absolutely Beautiful salon.
