London House's bar and restaurant ,The George, has been nominated in three categories in this year’s Gold Plate Awards.
The George has been nominated for Best Restaurant within a Tavern, Best New Restaurant and Wine List of the Year.
Opening its doors in October 2008, The George has become one of the CBD’s popular venues for discerning restaurant goers and those looking for a stylish space to enjoy a drink after work.
 
An intimate and stylish interior features contemporary furnishings such as high bar tables, cosy booth seating in the restaurant, a plush lounge area and an extensive marble top bar.
The George’s menu focuses on contemporary and innovative dishes, while the meticulously crafted wine list features selections from renowned Australian vineyards and New Zealand’s Marlborough region, as well as wines from Italy, France and Spain.
The winning nominees will be announced at the 42nd Gold Plate Award Presentation Dinner held at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre on Monday, 19 October 2009.
