| Cable Beach Club Resort Award provides backdrop to interesting history

Broome’s Cable Beach Club Resort has picked up an award at the WA Tourism Council’s 2007 Awards held on the weekend.
Western Australia’s premier north-west resort was the winner of the prestigious ‘Luxury Accommodation’ category. 
Representatives for Cable Beach Club Resort were presented the Award at the Western Australian Tourism Awards Gala Dinner held at the Burswood’s Grand Ballroom on Saturday evening.
The Resort is owned by Hawaiian Property Group, and General Manager of Cable Beach Club Resort Ron Sedon says the group’s recent $15 million refurbishment of the Resort has been well worthwhile.
As part of the Resort’s $15 million refurbishment, Hawaiian undertook to develop a significant ‘entry statement’, constructed from Kimberley Stone which has further enhanced the existing Asian influence within the Resort.
Guests will now enjoy spectacular upgrades to both the Family Pool and the Ocean Pool.
A shady retreat has been created for parents at the Family Pool, as they watch their children play in the pool or on the playground equipment. The iconic waterfall at the Family Pool creates a visually stunning backdrop to the Pool and Spa, while the whole area has been landscaped to create poolside ‘green belts’ and nature strips that define the sun lounge, dining and play areas.
New overhead lighting and an improved sound system has also enhanced guests’ enjoyment of the seasonal Friday “Dive In” movie nights at the Family Pool and other evening functions.
The adults-only Ocean Pool has had its pool area refurbished to ultimate comfort levels, providing guests with supreme relaxation whether sunbaking, reading a book or enjoying a cool cocktail.
Overlooking the Ocean Pool is the Thai Pearl Restaurant that has also been extended and upgraded.
The impressive ‘Luxury Accommodation’ award won by Cable Beach Club Resort follows quickly on the heels of a recent award collected at the Australian Hotels Association’s National Awards, in which the Resort won ‘Best Luxury Accommodation’.
