On Tuesday 30th October, senior citizens from the Victoria Park area will enjoy a Seniors Morning Tea at The Park Centre.
Taking place from 9.30am-11.30am outside Target, the morning tea will provide a social and entertaining outing for attending seniors that have been invited along by The Park Centre.
Entertainment will commence from 9.45am by the Ursula Frayne Junior School Choir, followed by a performance by a solo guitarist.
There will also be the chance to win a fantastic door prize of two tickets to a magical performance of “The Nutcracker” at the Regal Theatre.
Eileen Birlenbach, Village Coordinator of Craigwood Greens says “The Park Centre Seniors Morning Tea allows our residents to get out and about and provides a great chance for them interact with other members of the community.”
Over 70 seniors are expected to attend from various seniors groups and organisations within the local area. The Park Centre is holding the morning tea in conjunction with the annual Seniors Week initiative that aims to recognise and highlight the contribution that seniors provide to the community.
Local governments, businesses and community organisations will hold various events and promote programs that focus on seniors throughout Seniors Week, which runs state wide from Sunday 28th October – Sunday 4th November 2007. |
