Sassellas Bar & Bistro at Carillon City is set to receive a major facelift which will transform the long established venue into a leading destination in which to drink and dine in Perth’s CBD.
Situated on the upper level of Carillon City shopping centre, Sassellas has been operating in its current location since 1971, when it acquired WA’s first ever tavern license.
Started up by George Sassella, the venue has continued to remain in the Sassella family, with George’s son Michael Sassella now at the helm.
The extensive refurbishment will see clever use of space to create inviting and comfortable surrounds with modern furnishings and ambient lighting throughout, complementing a colour scheme of warm chocolate and cream tones.
Other upgrades will include replacement of the current entry statement with a wall to ceiling glass frontage, a revitalised alfresco area for dining patrons, as well as a custom-designed illuminated feature bar.
As part of the new refurbishment, Sassellas will be offering an updated Menu including a new Tapas-style menu, along with a new cocktail list.
“Over the past 38 years we’ve built up a reputation for good food and good service delivered at a reasonable price, we’ll continue to do so after the refurbishment,” said Michael Sassella, owner of Sassellas.
Sassellas’ will be open for trade during the re-fit works, and are working towards a completion date of 17 June this year for the full refurbishment.
