The first Hawaiian Alive excursions for 2009 recently took place which saw students from four Perth metropolitan schools attending a STEPS Youth Dance Group performance at the Playhouse Theatre.
Kalamunda Senior High, Thornlie Senior High, Claremont Primary and Samson Primary were all schools that won the opportunity to see STEPS lates performance, Moonlight and Scorched Thongs.
The energetic and entertaining performance received a great repsonse from both teachers and students alike.

Kalumunda Senior High School Dance Teacher, Shaharig Shahbazian, was thrilled with the opportunity the program provided to her students.
“We have several students at Kalumunda Senior High, both boys and girls, who are interested in pursuing dance as a career and so I hope that attending this performance helped inspire and encourage them to achieve their goals,” she said.
The award-winning STEPS Youth Dance Performance Company is Hawaiian’s newest sponsor partner, and is nationally renowned for its collaborative performance making.
