Claremont Quarter, the $450 million joint development project undertaken by Hawaiian and Brookfield Multiplex in the heart of Claremont’s retail precinct, opened its doors to the public for the first time on Tuesday 3 March 2009.
Stage 1 of Claremont Quarter sees Calvin Klein Jeans, Dotti, Forever New, JB Hi-Fi, Rebel Sport, Colorado, Mecca Cosmetica and Dick Smith sitting alongside local stores making the move from Claremont Arcade including Adam Heath, Brownies, Father and Sous Bodywear, along with a new-look Coles store.
Town Square, Stage 2
Claremont Quarter is being developed in two stages, with stage 1 of the development encompassing electrical, entertainment and fashion specialty retailers, along with a fresh food precinct (to open mid-year). Stage 2 is set to open in early 2011 offering high-end fashion and homewares, including David Jones.
The redevelopment also includes a residential component known as the ‘Claremont Residences’ comprising a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
Upon completion, Claremont Quarter will offer a stylish, integrated retail hub incorporating a centre town square that will offer alfresco dining, public art and seating areas.
