| Hawaiian supports West Australian artists

Hawaiian is doing its bit to help local Artists faced with the struggle of finding suitable space in which to set up art studios.
Perth’s CBD is currently experiencing a tight property market, which is impacting on the availability of space for Artists requiring not only an area for current works, but also storage areas for materials as well as unsold works.
As part of a commitment to promoting and engaging with the Arts in Western Australia, Hawaiian saw the opportunity to offer space at two of its buildings to be utilised by local artists free of charge.
Parmelia House on St George’s Terrace now sees contemporary Artist Jennie Nayton occupying approximately 53 m2 in the Parmelia Arcade, with the Carillon City shopping centre housing sculptors Brendan Van Hek and Bennett Miller in a 108 m2 tenancy on the Upper Hay Street level of the centre.
Both the tenancy at Carillon City and the tenancy at Parmelia House are being made available to the occupying Artists for a three month period, after which time the situation will be reviewed.
