Carillon City supports Canteen Bay to Bay Run
underline

Shoppers were able to show their support for the “Bay to Bay Run” when they visited Carillon City on Tuesday 15 July.

On the day, 68 year old Vlastislav (Vlastik) Skvaril was running on a stationery treadmill for over six hours in order to raise awareness for his fundraising run for CanTeen, the support organisation that provides activities for young people living with cancer.

The “Bay to Bay Run” sees Vlastik running over 5,768km in 100 days in a journey that will take him from one side of Australia to another.

Commencing his run in Shark Bay on WA’s north-west coast on 20 July and finishing up in Byron Bay in New South Wales on 27 October, Vlastik will be the first person ever to run inland from west to east across Australia.

Hawaiian (owners of Carillon City) is a proud supporter of CanTeen, and was pleased to offer the opportunity for the local community to gain an awareness of the organisation at the same time as supporting the “Bay to Bay Run” initiative.
