Mr Russell Gibbs / Chief Executive Officer
Russell Gibbs joined Hawaiian in 1996 and was appointed as CEO in March 2000. He has a wealth of practical property experience, including seven years at senior management level with Jones Lang LaSalle. Russell has been instrumental in leading a number of substantial property investment and development acquisitions for Hawaiian, and under his direction, the Group also works in partnership with a number of community groups around the State, to promote the Arts and support those in need. Russell's past experience also includes having held various senior Board and committee positions in the property and tourism industries, as well as the Arts and charitable organisations.
Currently Russell is a councillor of the Australian Business Arts Foundation, a director of the Youth Focus Board, and a senator on the Murdoch University Senate.
Mr Damian Gordon / Chief Financial Officer
Daimian Gordon joined Hawaiian as Chief Financial Officer in February 2002 and is responsible for the Group's financial activities and its investments in property and other funds.
Damian commenced his professional life with almost 7 years in KPMG's Corproate Finance division in the Perth and Jakarta offices, followed by 5 years working in various corporate roles in the engineering, mining and resource development sectors, before joining Hawaiian.
Damian is currently a Board member of the Deckchair Theatre Company.
Mr Stuart Duplock / General Manager, Property Development
Stuart Duplock qualified as a chatered accountant in 1995 and worked in Australia and the UK in the area of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Upon returning to Perth in 1994 he gained extensive experience in the development and syndication of property projects with several prominent Western Australian corporations. Stuart joined Hawaiian in 2000 and is responsible for the effective management of Hawaiian's development activities in accordance with the portfolio strategy.
Stuart is a chairman of the Group's Corporate Social Responsibility Committe. He also works closely with a number of charitable organisations.
Mr Peter Gibbons / General Manager, Operations
Peter Gibbons has extensive experience in property investment banking, and has worked for some of the world's largest investment banking institutions in Australia, South-East Asia and China. Peter has extensive experience providing specialised property solutions, with his experience covering a broad range of disciplines, including valuation, structured property financing, portfolio management and business development. Peter works across Hawaiian's business lines to ensure it delivers the highest outcomes for all internal and external stakeholders, tenants, and associated relationships.
Mr Evan Briers / General Manager, Investments
Evan Briers has over 15 years' experience in property, predominantly in the field of asset management. Previous experience has included working with Jones Lang LaSalle in Perth, as well as spending three years with Challenger Financial Services in Sydney.
Evan joined Hawaiian in September 2004 and his additional areas of expertise include investment management of private property syndicates and other institutional grade assets.
Evan is currently a Board member of Cystic Fibrosis WA.
Ms Kate O’Hara / Group Manager, Marketing
Kate O'Hara's marketing career begain in the late 1980's and expands across many sectors including retail, tourism, construction, mining and finance. After starting with JMG Marketing, and then spending fours years in Singapore, Kate returned to Perth as Group Account Director and a Senior Manager with The Shorter Group. After several years as State Manager for The Capital Group. and following the creation of Intersect Communications consultancy, Kate now oversees Hawaiian's communications strategy across all aspects of the company's business.
Kate is a committee member of The 500 Club.
